Alone

Why must I be
 Alone and in the darkness
Forever denied the brilliance
 The light that shone on me
Guiding me through the darkness
 Closer and closer to you
Now the light seems to fade
 Slowly it fades to grey
The darkness grows again
 Soon it shall be as it was
And here I shall remain
 Alone in the darkness
